Hi Reader,
I had a conversation with an RD this week. She's been "working on building a private practice" for the last three years, and she hasn't booked a single client yet.
She's smart, and she has in-depth knowledge about a niche topic in the gut health area.
Why no clients? In short, she has no confidence. No confidence in her knowledge, no confidence in her ability to help people with the problem she knows so much about, and no confidence in her ability to sell her services.
So...three years of thinking about it and no clients to show for it. She's feeling frustrated, and I felt frustrated just listening to her story..
If you remember nothing else today, remember this: if you're an RD, you already have much, much, much, more knowledge than the average client who will come to you for help.
With every client you see, your expertise grows.
With every healthcare provider you talk to, your ability to promote your services increases.
With every person who becomes your client, your ability to sell your services grows.
Confidence comes from iteration, not consideration.
If you've been considering instead of iterating, hit reply and tell me the biggest thing that's holding you back.
To your success,
Julie
